Elementary (K–5) planning for the 2025–2026 year

This is the Elementary (K–5) view of the 2025–2026 school-year calendar, built for kindergarten through fifth-grade families and elementary teachers. Built for the elementary classroom: short days, parent conferences, party days, and reading milestones already mapped. Every milestone listed on this page lines up with the standard August-to-July academic structure used by most US public school districts: a late-August start, the federal holiday corridor through fall and winter, a March or April spring break, and a May commencement window.

Elementary calendars on PrintCalendars highlight early-dismissal Wednesdays where common, professional development days that turn into parent days off, and the long stretches between breaks when after-school care matters most. The school year opens on Monday, August 25 and runs through commencement on Friday, May 15, 2026. Fall semester finals begin December 8; spring semester finals begin May 4.

What to expect this year

  • Back-to-school night and meet-the-teacher (week one)
  • Parent-teacher conferences (early November and late February)
  • Quarterly report card windows (Oct, Jan, Apr, Jun)
  • Holiday class parties (winter, Valentine's, end-of-year)
  • STAR / iReady benchmark windows (Sep, Jan, May)
  • Reading-month and field-day events (March and May)
  • Field trip planning windows (October, April)

Federal holidays in this view

This Elementary layout shades the same eleven US federal holidays that appear on every PrintCalendars layout — Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and Independence Day. The grade-band annotations are layered on top of the federal calendar rather than replacing it, so families and teachers can use the same printed sheet across siblings in different grade bands.

Printing this calendar

The Elementary calendar prints clean on US Letter and ISO A4 paper without scaling. Use the Print button on each monthly grid for a single-page printable view, or open the academic-year overview to print the full twelve-month set.
