Spring 2023 for Elementary (K–5)

The Spring 2023 semester runs from January 9, 2023 through May 5, 2023 as part of the 2022-2023 Academic Year school year. For kindergarten through fifth-grade families and elementary teachers, this semester is anchored by the federal holidays observed in the spring term and the Elementary-specific milestones layered on top of the OPM federal calendar.

Elementary calendars on PrintCalendars highlight early-dismissal Wednesdays where common, professional development days that turn into parent days off, and the long stretches between breaks when after-school care matters most.

Elementary milestones in this semester

  • Back-to-school night and meet-the-teacher (week one)
  • Parent-teacher conferences (early November and late February)
  • Quarterly report card windows (Oct, Jan, Apr, Jun)
  • Holiday class parties (winter, Valentine's, end-of-year)
  • STAR / iReady benchmark windows (Sep, Jan, May)
  • Reading-month and field-day events (March and May)
  • Field trip planning windows (October, April)

Federal closures during the semester

  • Winter Break — Saturday, December 17 through Sunday, January 8.
  • MLK Day — Monday, January 16.
  • Presidents' Day — Monday, February 20.
  • Spring Break — Monday, March 13 through Friday, March 17.
  • Memorial Day — Monday, May 29.

Printing tips for letter-size paper

Print the months above in portrait orientation on US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) paper at 100% scale for the standard printable layout, or switch each month to landscape when you need wider day cells for written notes. The Elementary milestones listed here are layered onto the federal calendar — they do not replace it, so a single printed sheet works across siblings in different grade bands.
